Deletes an existing empty directory.

BOOLEAN RemoveDirectory(
    LPCTSTR lpPathName
);

Parameters

lpPathName

Pointer to a null-terminated string that specifies the path of the directory to remove. The path must specify an empty directory.

Remarks

A bad path results in ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND instead of ERROR_PATH_NOT_FOUND.

RemoveDirectory operates only on empty directories. If the directory is not empty, an application must first recursively enumerate and delete the files and subdirectories inside the directory.

Return Values

Non-zero

Success.

0 (zero)
