commoxa.rta (Serial Communications)

Driver for the Moxa family of multi-channel serial PCI cards.

commoxa [poll[=ticks]] [pollpri=pri] [list] [nomsi] [help] [rs232 | rs422 | rs485_2w | rs485_4w]

Parameters

poll[=ticks]: Enable polling at optional tick rate.
pollpri=pri: Set the priority of the polling thread, default 128.
nomsi: Not using MSI, but interrupt level.
help: List available command line options.
rs232: Set driver mode to RS232.
rs422: Set driver mode to RS422.
rs485_2w: Set driver mode to RS485 2-wire.
rs485_4w: Set driver mode to RS485 4-wire.
list: List supported Moxa devices PCI vendor id, device id, and short description.

Remarks

Channels are installed beginning at 5. If that channel is already taken, the channels are installed starting at the first available position. Consequently, care might be taken to ensure that devices of one type are installed in consecutive positions.

Uninstalling a device driver frees the allocated channels for use by other drivers.
